Getting set up

These services cover the first steps: building a budget around your real income and bringing your existing records into the app.

Budget Setup Session

£15 · 45 minutes

We sit down with you, either in person or by video call, and list your loan instalments, any part-time wages, rent and bills. From that we create monthly categories inside the app, set limits that match what actually arrives in your account, and agree a weekly spending figure. You leave with a working budget and a short written summary of how each category was calculated.

Statement Import Help

£12 · 30 minutes

If you have months of bank statements saved as files, we show you how to bring them into the app and sort each line into the right category. We check for duplicated entries, fix mislabelled items such as rent counted as groceries, and set up simple rules so that regular payments are labelled correctly from then on. This saves most students several hours of manual typing.

Student Loan Planning

£30 · 1 hour

Maintenance loans arrive in three instalments, and many students find the money runs thin before the next one lands. We map your instalment dates against fixed costs for the full academic year, flag the months with the biggest gaps, and build a spending curve that stretches each payment. We also note where a short-term overdraft might be needed and how to avoid it.

App Walkthrough

£5 · 15 minutes

A short call for anyone who has installed the app and wants to see where everything sits. We cover adding an expense in under ten seconds, switching between weekly and monthly views, setting reminders for bills, and exporting a month of records. It suits students who prefer to learn by watching rather than reading a manual, and it works well as a first step before a longer session.

Shared living costs

Housemates, group trips and society fees all create small debts that are easy to forget. These services keep those figures clear and fair.

Shared House Costs Setup

£20 · 45 minutes

We create a shared space in the app for your household, add each housemate, and enter rent, energy, water, broadband and the TV licence as recurring items. Splits can be equal or weighted, for example when one room is larger. The app then shows who owes what each month, so conversations about money stay short and based on numbers instead of memory.

Receipt Scanning Training

£10 · 20 minutes

The camera feature reads a paper receipt and turns it into an entry, but results depend on lighting and angle. We practise on your own receipts from the supermarket, the campus shop and the pharmacy, and show you how to correct a misread total. We also explain how to store receipts for items that might need a return within the usual 30-day window.

Reviewing and adjusting

A budget only helps if it gets checked. These two services look back at what you actually spent and adjust the plan, either once a term or on a longer cycle.

Monthly Spending Review

£22 · 1 hour

Once a month we go through your recorded spending line by line. We compare it with the limits you set, point out categories that drifted, such as takeaways or travel, and suggest realistic changes rather than strict cuts. We also check that subscriptions you no longer use are cancelled. You receive a one-page summary you can keep or share with a parent or guardian if you wish.

Term Planning Package

£120 · 90 minutes plus follow-ups

This package covers a full term. We start with a 90-minute planning session, then hold three short check-ins at roughly four-week intervals. The first session sets income, fixed costs and savings goals; later calls adjust the figures after real spending is known. It suits first-year students moving away from home, and anyone starting a placement year with a changed income.
