Terms and Conditions

Last updated: please check the date shown on this page when you visit.

Welcome to Zuzefu. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to our website and your use of our mobile application for tracking student expenses (the "App") and any related services. Please read them carefully before you place an order or create an account. By placing an order or using the App, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The services are provided by Zuzefu, based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us as follows:

When we refer to "we", "us" or "our", we mean Zuzefu. When we refer to "you" or "your", we mean the person using the website or the App.

2. Our Services

The App helps students record, categorise and review their spending so that they can better understand and manage their personal budgets. The App is a budgeting aid only. It does not provide financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your own financial decisions.

3. Placing and Confirming an Order

3.1 How to order

You place an order by following the on-screen steps on our website or in the App, selecting the plan or service you want, and confirming your details. Before you finalise the order you will be given the chance to review it and correct any input errors.

3.2 Confirmation

Your order is an offer to purchase from us. A contract between you and Zuzefu is formed only when we send you a confirmation message by email or display an order confirmation page. We may decline an order, for example where a product is unavailable, where there is an obvious pricing error, or where we reasonably suspect fraud. If we decline, we will tell you and refund anything you have already paid.

3.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the App and place an order. You must provide accurate and complete information when ordering.

4. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

We may change our prices from time to time. A change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed.

5. Cancellation, Refunds and Your Statutory Rights

5.1 Right to cancel

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 may give you a right to cancel an online order within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us clearly by emailing [email protected] or by telephone on +44 121 739 1327. You may use any clear statement; no particular form is required.

5.2 Digital content and services that have started

If you ask us to begin providing digital content or services during the 14-day cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for what has been supplied up to the point you cancel. Where digital content has been fully supplied with your prior express consent and acknowledgement, the right to cancel may be lost. We will explain this before you order.

5.3 Refunds

Where you validly cancel, we will refund the amount due without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method you used for the order unless you agree otherwise.

5.4 Ending a subscription

If you have a subscription, you can stop future renewals at any time by contacting us or using the account settings in the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless the law entitles you to something different.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to digital content and services that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

6. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our services, please tell us so that we can put it right. Contact us at [email protected] or on +44 121 739 1327, giving your name, details of your order and a description of the problem. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to give you a full response within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service, and you always remain free to pursue your legal rights through the courts.

7. Your Use of the App

You agree to use the App lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the App, the website and their content, including software, design, text and graphics, belong to Zuzefu or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes while these Terms apply. The data you enter into the App remains yours.

9. Personal Data and Cookies

We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we decide how and why your personal data is used, Zuzefu acts as the data controller. You have the rights set out in data-protection law, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time limits set by law.

If you are concerned about how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's supervisory authority for data protection.

9.1 Cookies

The only cookie set by this website is cookie_consent. It stores your consent choice and remains on your device for one year. We do not use analytics cookies on this site. Advertising measurement runs only after you have given consent, and only on the order confirmation page.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to the above:

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or free of errors, although we take reasonable care to provide it with due skill and care. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

11. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may update the App to improve it, maintain security or comply with the law. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. If we make a material change that affects an ongoing subscription, we will give you reasonable notice.

12. General

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the law where you live. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although as a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
